Problem:
A letter to a government official on the issue of climate change. The letter must include an introduction, a body consisting of three paragraphs and a closing. The letter must be addressed to a real politician (local, state, or federal - does not matter). You will not mail the letter. The letter must not include quotes and must be your work. In the body of the letter, you must devote each of the three paragraphs to a different issue associated with climate change (see Chapter 17 for some help). These issues should be related to topics we have covered in this course. For example, you might use one paragraph to explain how climate change will affect world food supplies. Another paragraph might talk about species diversity or extinction that might occur because of climate change. In almost every chapter we have covered this semester there has been some link with climate change. For each of these three paragraphs, you must include a scientific source that supports the information in the paragraph. Include a list of your references after the letter. You may cover up to two issues with one source (therefore you need at a minimum two source for this assignment).
Note that you are writing this letter to inform the politician. This letter is not about opinion, so it is not appropriate to state information that is not supported scientifically.
