Let's assume that you do DES double encryption by encrypting with k1 and doing DES in decrypt mode with k2. Does the same attack described in Section 4.4.1.2 (meet-in-the-middle attack) of your textbook work as with double encryption with k1 and k2? If not, how could it be made to work?
