Learn about the migration strategies

Case Project 4-2
First national bank's president congratulates you on successfully managing her network's addressing issues. She then shares that she's considering upgrading the bank's network from IPv4 to IPv6. She has heard that IPv6 is the way of the future and might even provide some security and performance benefits. She asks you to tell her more about switching to IPv6 and specifically wonders if it can be accomplished by the end of the month. You have a basic understanding of how the protocol versions differ, but her request requires you to research more practical information. Use the internet to learn about the migration strategies or find a network manager who has accomplished such a migration and interview him. As you prepare to meet with the bank president again, list the top four advantages of migrating to IPv6. Also list the top four concerns expressed by network managers when they consider switching. Which of these concerns might be most important to the bank and why?
Case Project 4-3
Six months later, the bank president congratulates you on managing a successful migration of the banks network to IPv6. She tells you that most of her staff didn't notice any difference after the upgrade. However, one employee, the loan officer, consistently has troubles logging on to the network in the morning. She doesn't think the problem is related to the IPv6 migration, but she asks you to verify that it isn't. one morning you meet with the laon officer and check to make sure his workstation ahs a vlaid, routable IPv6 address. What steps do you follow or what commands do you use to accomplish this? Unfortunately, even after you prove to him that the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 is not the cause of his problem, the loan officer is still angry. He claims you messed up his system and he'll never be able to get his work done. List three steps you could take to calm him down and help him return to work.
Case Project 4-4
After you have successfully addressed his logon problems, the banks loan officer calls you for help on an urgent problem. He cannot connect to a loan provider's web site. When he tries connecting to the site, called www.loansandmoreloans.cengage.com, the message he receives is "Alert! www.loansandmoreloans.cengage.com could not be found. Please check the name and try again. "he assumes that the loan provider's network is down, but he wants to make sure the problem isn't something he could fix because he urgently needs to access the site. As you know, other things could be causing this error message. Given what you have learned about TCP/IP networking, suggest two other reasons why this error message might appear in the loan officer's browser window. Then describe to specific commands the loan officer could type at his computer's command prompt that would help you and him narrow down where the connection is failing. Which of these two commands would you try first and why?
