Scenario 1 (10 minutes for this part):
Five years ago Mrs Procter bought some hens for her smallholding, she now has around 90 laying hens which produce approximately 500 eggs a week. She has decided that it may be profitable for her to sell her eggs direct to the general public. She does not know anything about the law so needs your advice on what she can and cannot do. For example, what is someone complains about the description of her eggs or what should she do with the waste which the hens produce.
You work for the local Chamber of Commerce and you and your colleagues are going to produce a role play and act the role play out to your tutors with notes of the role play provided either in the form of a PowerPoint or Word document. The notes will support your role play situation.

She also purchased a computer from WC World. The computer is not working correctly and it turns itself off after running for 10 minutes and she wants something done about this. She is not able to produce the documents for her egg business because of this issue. She bought this computer as a private individual She has a receipt and has only just purchased this computer 2 months ago.
You work for the local Citizens’ Advice and you and your colleagues are going to produce a role play which you will act out for your tutors with notes of the role play provided either in the form of a PowerPoint or Word document. The notes will support your role play situation.
• What her legal rights are and what is she now entitled to do?
The work should be presented as a role play with notes provided in groups of four/five depending on tutor group numbers. Each individual has to prove they have contributed to the research and the role play preparations by explaining at the end of the role play about the work each group member has put in.
