Larry later regrets entering into this agreement with greg

Greg and Larry are both agricultural business majors at SFA, but they come from very different backgrounds. Greg grew up on a ranch near Nacogdoches and Larry grew up in Dallas. Greg is a prolific meat eater and Larry is a vegan who wants to start an organic farm.

Greg and Larry become good friends and Larry frequently visits Greg at his Nacogdoches home. The first time Larry visits, he meets a small piglet that lives in a pen by Greg's house. Larry asks about the piglet and Greg says "His mom died giving birth. I felt sorry for the little guy, so I've been bottle feeding him. His name is Stinky Pete." Larry becomes quite fond of Stinky Pete, and frequently visits Greg's farm with Greg to pet him, play with him, and help care for him. Greg treats Stinky Pete very well and even lets him walk around the ranch with him while he does chores, and Larry believes that he is basically Greg's pet.

At the end of the school year, Greg tells Larry he's going to throw a big party out at his place and that Larry is invited. Larry volunteers to come help Greg set things up. When he arrives at Greg's house, he sees a rifle leaning against Greg's truck and asks what it is for. Greg replies "I'm gonna shoot Stinky Pete so we can do whole hog barbecue tonight. He's going to be delicious." Larry is appalled. He offers to buy Stinky Pete from Greg to save his life. Greg says there's no way he's selling Stinky Pete for less than $1,000 (the going market rate for a whole hog the size of Stinky Pete is $250) and begins to walk to his pen with the rifle. Larry breaks down in tears and agrees to pay Greg $1,000 to save Stinky Pete's life. Greg laughs and says "OK city slicker, you got a deal. I guess I better go find some other meat for tonight."

Larry later regrets entering into this agreement with Greg and files a lawsuit to have it rescinded. Will Larry be able to successfully get out of the contract? Note - assume that it is legal in the State of Texas for Greg to shoot and eat his pig.

What would be the rule in this case, and how should I go about with the application portion?
