1. Model the wall-to-floor slab connection in AutoCAD using Architectural units. 

2. Plot on ANSI B, landscape at scale of ½"-1'-0".

3. All text is upper case, Romans font, 1/8" text height

4. Use On-Screen Take Off to determine measurements that are not specified on plot.

5. Title: Steel Reinforcing Bar: Wall-to-Floor Connection

-Drawn accurately and plotted to scale

-Appropriate layers

  • Object
  • Hatching
  • Text
  • Viewport
  • Dimensions
  • Titleblock

-Industry standard line weights (AEC/CADD)

-Scaled leaders and all text shown in drawing: Romans text

-Use ACAD Break symbol to show object continues and draw the elevation symbol

-Dimension object with Romans font. Align left/right as shown in figure

-Hatching:

  • AR-Conc, scale: 2.0
  • Earth, 45 degree angle, scale:15
  • AR SAND, scale: 3.0
  • Note: areas need to be closed before hatching. Use your construction layer to draw a closed boundary.
  • Save as - use a file new name before you hatch!!
