Knowing the limits of a high-performance player would allow

The final project for this class is a group project where we will try to learn something of business value from a public data set that is available on the internet. We will use this list in the following weeks to as a starting resource for group projects.

1) Post a link (and any special instructions to download the data) and

2) Describe the source of the data and assess it's quality based on criteria in chapter 1

For example:

Recently retired Kobe Bryant was arguably one of the greatest basketball players to ever play in the NBA. During basketball games, and using replay video, specialists gather statistics regarding the quality, character and pace of play. Although stats from the NBA are the official system of record for basketball statistics, gathering data in this manner would be subject to observer bias. Furthermore, a system of six cameras tracks players throughout the court, called SportVU. Data collected in this manner could be subject to measurement error bias, if the cameras are improperly calibrated.

Knowing the limits of a high-performance player would allow a basketball team to have a better idea about how to structure a salary and bonus program.

The data is available for academic use, although it requires registration through kaggle.com here:
