Keep in mind individuals with larger incomes do not pay the

Keep in mind, individuals with larger incomes do not pay the same amount of taxes, they pay the same tax rate. For instance, it was well publicized that a well- known politician was paying taxes at a rate of 13% which is lower than what an average tax payer is paying. However, the 13% is multiplied times the millions of dollars earned. Thus, the amount of taxes paid was high, but the percentage of income was low. It’s the percentage that may not be fair since the wealthy individual is able to keep 87% of very large earnings. Do you think this is a fair system?
