John doe is a 13 year-old african-american male who lives

Please provide a written response to how you would handle the following situation.

John Doe is a 13 year-old African-American male who lives with his mother and five year-old sister. John is referred to the agency by a local court system who is determining sentencing for John, who was found guilty of child molestation of his sister. The court is familiar with a program you offer to support children who act out sexually in the community. The contact individual for the court is a probation officer who has provided some information about John and his family. John and his family live in a two bedroom apartment. John and his sister usually stayed in the same room. The probation officer had little other information and stated that John's mother was reluctant to talk to him. You do learn that John is in special education and has had several agencies involved with his family. You told the P.O. that you would set up an appointment to meet with John and his mother. You call and set up the appointment for the following week with John's mother. She appears very confused by your call, provides no additional information over the phone, but agrees to the appointment. You meet with her. She appears neat, but tired and responds to your questions with "Yes, ma'am/sir" or "No ma'am/sir." She provides no additional information during the interview and you leave.
