They paid another contractor $18,500 correct the job. To eliminate the leak the second contractor demolished the concrete deck installed by Shewmake and Kelly. The DelGrecos sued Shewmake and Kelly for breach of contract. They claimed they had spent $19,100 in labor and materials to work on the house for which they had not been paid.
