Globalization of Production
It is not just about the cost of manufacturing, but also that Americans flock to buy the $5 tee shirts at Old Navy, etc. - companies that need to compete on price like that could not succeed while manufacturing in the US at American labor prices. Some industries are lost to the US at this point. What factors might reasonably change to make the US a viable manufacturer of these goods?
