How important are issues of religious or political conformity in three plays you have studied this semester?
King Lear- considering King Lear’s error in abdicating his throne, and the ensuing unrest in the play as the fallout from it.
Macbeth- considering Macbeth’s transgression, and ultimate downfall as a result of regicide.
Hamlet- considering Hamlet’s filial loyalty to his father, warring against the morality of murdering his uncle Claudius, however justified it may be.
