According to a recent study, doctors are spending less time with each patient, approximately eight minutes each day with each patient. A random sample of residents was obtained and the time spent with a random patient was recorded for each. The data are given in the following table (in minutes).
a. Is there any evidence to suggest that the true population mean time spent with each patient is less than eight minutes? Assume normality and use a = 0.05.
b. Find bounds on the p value associated with this hypothesis test.
