Is the philosophy of Martin Luther King or Malcolm X better suited to address the needs of Black America today? Why?" First, you are to listen to two audio speeches (also on youtube and one radio interview. The first speech is King's "I have a dream" speech. The second is a speech by Malcolm entitled "The Ballot or the Bullet." Both have been cited as among the top hundred speeches of the century. You must use the assigned materials and no outside sources. The third audio is a radio interview I did with NPR host Tavis Smiley on his book Death of A King where he spoke about King's last year of life.
