Q: An insect of height 2 cm is in front of a spherical mirror whose focal length has the absolute value | f | = 40 cm. The insect sees an image of itself that has a height of 0.40 cm and appears upright.
1) Is the image real or virtual? Is it on the same side of the mirror as the insect or the other side?
2) Is the mirror concave or convex and what is its focal length, including the correct sign.
