2) What was the general medieval attitude towards women and where do you suppose such ideas come from? Does the notion of chivalry in regards to women attract or repel you?
3) Is the Magna Carta a progressive or a conservative document? Why do you suppose the church condemned it threatening to excommunicate anyone who helped to enforce it?
4) Why was intolerance considered a virtue in the thirteenth century? Who were the targets of intolerance and why? Do you consider tolerance a virtue or a sign of weakness and a vice?
