In Europe, most newspapers are deliberately partisan, and provide news coverage with a liberal or conservative bias. For example, the British Daily Telegraph offers conservative reporting of news, while the Guardian, also from the United Kingdom, offers a more leftist view of politics. Is American news becoming more partisan or openly biased in its reporting? How essential is it in a democracy to have a source of nonpartisan news?
