The circumstances in which the Rorschach assessment would be used is when it is desired to investigate a person's personality as a whole--the emotional, motivational, interpersonal, and attitudinal characteristics of an individual. It can be used to specifically obtain information for diagnostic purposes as a way of identifying emotional problems and assessing personality structure.
