Introducing a new United Nations International Day on human rights
The United Nations has decided to make a new International Day for human rights. They have asked you to choose an area of human rights concern, and make a speech telling us why it should have its own day. Here is a list of existing UN International Days that you can use for inspiration
Your task is to promote your day amongst the Australian public. You are to deliver a three-minute speech that will demonstrate the history of your chosen human right, and discuss the basic issues of legality and justice of your chosen human right.
