Case Study: Read the case study and then answer the questions that follow. Brenda is a paralegal in a small law firm, and she is interviewing a very upset client, Angela Torres. Angela owns a dog, Bingo, which has been her constant companion for five years. Bingo is a well-mannered dog and gives Angela little cause for concern, except for one thing: Bingo hates cats. He growls, barks, and chases cats whenever he sees one. Normally, Angela keeps Bingo on a leash when they are outside because of his aversion to cats. However, when Angela is out in her own backyard, which is private and flanked by woods, she lets Bingo off the leash so he can run and play. Two days ago, a neighbor's cat came strolling through Angela's backyard, and before Angela knew what had happened, Bingo had pounced on the cat and killed it. Angela was horrified and immediately told the cat's owner, Mrs. Baxter. Mrs. Baxter was inconsolable. Mrs. Baxter said that she would sue Angela and see to it that Bingo was destroyed.
