Attend a Alcoholics Anonymous Open Meeting. Open meetings are open to the public, however, "only alcoholics may share (AA Directory)." Go to the Orange County Alcoholics Anonymous website at oc-aa.org for the meeting directory. SUBMIT YOUR EXPERIENCE, not details of the meeting, ON THE DISCUSSION LIST. Do not use the last names of participants at the meeting.

2. ASSIGNMENT: REFLECTIVE REPORT

Interview someone who has been in recovery and discuss their strengths, challenges, process of treatment including relapse prevention strategies, family dynamics and dual diagnosis if it applies. An alternative assignment is available if you are unable to interview a person in recovery, however, a request must be made by the second week of class.
