Influencing public policy through lobbying

Problem:

I share your concern with the state of the world. One suggestion was for counselors to try and influence public policy through lobbying and working through the media (Lee & Rodgers, 2009).  It also acknowledges that the challenges and risks of advocacy for councilors (Lee & Rodgers, 2009). Do you see yourself getting involved public advocacy and trying to influence public policy?  Working for my city as a volunteer, I was able to get our city to increase spending for mental health services. What are your thoughts? Need Assignment Help?
