Indications for Emergency Surgery in AR
1) Post balloon valvotomy AR with haemodynamic compromise
2) Acute thrombosis of prosthetic valve, not responding to thrombolysis
3) Infective endocarditis with uncontrolled failure
4) Dissecting aneurysm extending into the valve causing acute AR
5) Traumatic AR with haemodynainic compromise.
