Independent variable increase of immigration in europe

Hypothesis: Advanced Western democracies are shifting backward by focusing on their national identity and by supporting right extreme parties, which makes their behavior like new or underdeveloped democracies.

-Why this is so?

-Because of increasing immigration.

-How do we know this is true?

-By examining the Right-Left scale (ideological scale, which means where do people place themselves on the L-R scale, what issues are more important to them)

Independent Variable: increase of immigration in Europe

Dependent variable: rise in extreme right parties in Europe

Control variables: Socio economic status (GDP per capita, and population)

For that we need to get data on the following (the data is available online but I need help in cleaning and organizing it):

1. Number or percentage of immigration in each country in Europe (37 countries)

2. GDP per capita in each country in Europe

3. Right -Left scale old and current status.

Expected Statistical analysis: Linear Model with full interpretation and explanation of findings in words (minimum of 2-4 pages)
