A piece of copper tubing used in plumbing has a lenghth of 60.0 cm and an inner diameter of 1.50 cm. at 20C. When hot water at 85c flows thru the tube, determine

a. the tub's new length

b. the change in its cross-sectional area.

A rod in a steam jacket is measured to have a length of 0.600m. at a temperature of 22.0C Steam is passed through the jacket for several minutes until the rod is at a temperature of 98C. The increase in length of the rod is measured by a micrometer screw to be 1.19mm. Identify the type of metal used.
