After watching the film, The House I Live In (2012) post your thoughts on the following questions.

2) What are some of the major inconsistencies in the drug laws that were exposed in the film? How do experts in law enforcement and the courts perceive these inconsistencies?
3) Thinking sociologically, what are some OTHER solutions to the problem depicted in the video?
4) How can either rational choice theory, trait theory, or social structure theory be used to explain drug use in the United States?
This video may evoke strong emotions, but instead of responding emotionally to these questions I'd like you to step back and consider thinking sociologically to solutions to this problem. From a sociological point of view, problems have social roots.
They are caused by structural or social forces in our society. It is important to figure out where problems stem from in order to develop solutions.
