Read, "Introduction: Multiculturalism in psychology and mental health services," by Smith & Trimble, 2016. Take some notes to get the basic points of the article. After completing the article, answer the following questions using the article, you're textbook and other sources (including personal experience):
• After reading Smith & Trimble (2016), what is your definition of multiculturalism in psychology/mental health services?
• Are evidence-based treatments appropriate for diverse clients?
• In what scenarios might such treatments be appropriate? In what scenarios might such treatments be inappropriate? If inappropriate, in what ways could such interventions prove harmful to clients?
