In this unit, students will be introduced to concepts and principles of strategic management and marketing that will enable richer understanding of the market environment of a healthcare organization. The principle process examined and applied will include Service Area Structural Analysis based on Porter’s Five Forces model. Application of the tools and processes in this unit will enable understanding of the organizational capabilities relative to competitors within the marketplace. The initial post will contain the following information and/or address the following points: Organization’s Name. Organizational Service or Product Line. Identification of strategic or marketing tool or concept being applied. Identification and description of informational sources to support application of strategic or marketing tool or concept. Actual or expected findings from application of tool or concept. The organization has to be a US based organization.
