The Deliverable
You are a team leader in a large software development organization and you want to improve a software development process (of your choosing) through the use of a CASE tool. In the tight economy, purchasing new tools requires a strong justification and these tools are expensive. In this project search the Internet for CASE tool information and develop a paper to persuade your CIO to purchase the tool for your team.
Create a document that includes the following:
- The paper should be 2-3 pages in length.
- The document must include a Cover and Works Cited page.
- The Cover andWorks Cited page are not included in the page count.
- The Cover page must include an applicable title and your name.
- The Works Cited page must include at least three (3) external resources (other than the textbook and classroom resources) correctly cited using the APA format.
- The sources should be scholarly sources, not Wikipedia and the popular press.
Identify a software development process that needs a tool:
- This should include a brief commentary describing the existing need (of your choosing) for a certain type of CASE tool.
- The CIO understands these tools, but about you will need to explain what CASE tools do and how the use of a CASE tool will benefit your organization.
- Compare and contrast two (2) CASE tools that could meet your needs
- This should include a brief commentary describing two (2) possible CASE tools that will fit your need.
- Compare and contrast the two (2) tools and explain which one is the better fit for your organization and why.
- Provide a persuasive justification to your CIO to purchase the tool
- This should include a brief commentary that persuades your CIO to purchase the tool you are suggesting.
- Include costs and benefits.
