In this first lab you will learn more about acceleration

Dynamic track

In this first lab, you will learn more about acceleration and velocity, however, you should first read the pdf documents that are associated with the lab report.

As you log into the virtual physics lab, select the 'dynamics' lab but first you should watch the video overview this video has no sound so you should carefully follow the arrow as it indicates where to click in order to perform the lab. The pdfs are also useful as you perform the lab. The pdfs are provided.

Now you can get into the Virtual physics lab and then run a number of experiments using a wide range variety of data points. You are required to generate the lab report as per the below guidelines.

1. Thesis/introduction (the principles you are studying should be explained and the results that you expect to see)

2. Background (the concepts that form the foundation of the lab are explained).

3. Methodology. (here explanation and manipulation of the apparatus used are satisfactory.)

4. Data (should contain screenshots from the created graph or spreadsheet that contains the data or any graphs or charts created)

5. Analysis. (analysis of the results from the data is done. Also, state if the results are in consistent with the expectations and if something different is observed should be stated.)

6. Conclusion (interpret to what happened with the set of data, give an explanation why the results came forth the way they did, point out what sources error may have affected the experiment, and then anticipate on what should be done in future research.
