Theoretical and Conceptual Frameworks
In this Discussion, you will put your understanding of theoretical and conceptual frameworks into action by analyzing an article.
To prepare for this Discussion:
- Review the readings for this week as well as the media segment on theory.
- Consider the distinctions between a theoretical framework and a conceptual framework in qualitative research.
- Analyze the article provided in the Resources or one selected by your instructor. Is the author using a theoretical or conceptual framework for the study? How do you know? Why was that framework the most appropriate? How does it relate to the selected approach?
With these thoughts in mind
Post 2- to 3-paragraph analysis of the framework in the article and how you know which one is being used. Then, discuss the appropriateness of the framework for the study.
When appropriate, be sure to support your postings and responses with specific references to the reading(s) and/or video program(s) and use APA format.
