In the first load case the distributed load acts vertically, for example representing snow on the roof. In the second load case the distributed load acts normal to BC. This type of loading could arise from wind pressure.

a) Determine the reaction components for both load cases.

b) For the first load case find the transverse intensity per length of the beam.

c) Determine the distribution of the moment M for both load cases.

d) Find the maximum moment Mmax.
