In the Catholic Church, monks and nuns vow to live a simple life, having all of their few possessions in common with their fellow monks and nuns: to avoid sexual relations and marriage, to devote their lives to prayer and service: and to allow their superior to make the major decisions in their life, after a process of prayer and consultation. Some other religions have individuals who take on similar commitments. Could you live this lifestyle, if you were possibly called to it? Why or why not?
