In Quickbooks to record the Amercian Express Credit card deposit for the day, and reduce the doposit by 2%
1. create a make Amex deposit trasaction and enter 2% in the discount Fee field.
2. Select Record Deposits and tehn select all of the transactions with the Amex payment method, then click ok.On the last line of the deposit. Enter Credit Card Discount Fees in the account Column, and enter 2% of the total deposit as a negative number. this reduces the deposit by the discount fee , and records the discount fees expenses
3. From the check register, directly enter the date, and enter the net doposit for all amex sales in th e deposit column. Code the deposit to Amerx Sales Income.
