How can autophagy prevent tumor formation?
In my lecture material, it stated that "Autophagy functions both as a tumor suppressor pathway that prevents tumor initiation and as a survival pathway that helps tumor cells endure metabolic stress and resist death triggered by chemotherapeutic agents.". But my question is how can it be done?
