In contrast to many of the religions we are studying this

In contrast to many of the religions we are studying this semester, Daoism is adamant about the Dao ("Way," "Energy," "Process") being indescribable and totally beyond "rational" thought. It is also said that "the Dao treats people like straw dogs," basically meaning that the Dao is an impersonal divine force which doesn't involve itself in human activities.

Think of the characteristics of "indescribabilty" and "impersonal" as they relate to Daosim and discuss the advantages or disadvantages for such a religious approach. Can you think of any other religions that have these characteristics? Discuss.
