Opinion:

The three researches have been conducted in different context with different purpose:

1. Collings et al (2011) study may be used in providing the relevant support to the expatriate before, during and after the international assignment. The study can also be used to provide the expatriate managers with understanding on which support and when it is required to expatriate in foreign country. For instance, the repatriation support need to start by the mid of the international assignment and not at the end (Collings et al, 2011). The research is not confined to a particular country, industry or expatriate level implying that it can be used in various context. In aspect of decision making, the fact that the article is based on empirical researches and unpublished practical experience, questions its authenticity and so difficult to rely for making decisions.

2. The research by Freeman and Lindsay (2012) may be used to inform managers on what to expect when working or sending managers to country such as Malaysia. Moreover, the findings of the research can be used in orienting the prospect expert. In addition to that, the article can be used as an informant in sessions that requires international experts to reflect on how he/she is getting along in Malaysia. In decision making, the document is somewhat reliable since it is based on primary data. However, the sample is very limited which present the view of seven participants. Furthermore, it focuses on Australian manager working in Malaysia. Its reliability is questionable in other context.

3. Finally, Okpara and Kabongo (2011) provides a compelling conclusion on impact of cross-cultural training and expatriate adjustment. The article is handy in deciding which type of training is more effective for expatriate managers to work in Nigeria. The article can be used in certain industry such as banking, manufacturing, Oil Company and transportation and expert from country such as United States, United Kingdom, France and Germany.
