in an ic engine operating on the dual combustion

In an I.C. engine operating on the Dual combustion cycle, the temperature of the working fluid (air) at the beginning of compression is 27ºC. The ratio of the maximum and minimum pressures of the cycle is 70 and compression ratio is 15. The amounts of heat added at constant volume and constant pressure are equal. Compute the air standard thermal efficiency of the cycle.

3. In a Rankine cycle, the steam at inlet to turbine is saturated at a pressure of 35bar and the exhaust pressure is 0.2bar. Determine:

(i) the pump work

(ii) the dryness at the end of expansion.

(iii)the turbine work

(iv) the Rankine efficiency

(v) the condenser heat flow
