The poems in this module are grouped under the theme of relationships. But there are many kinds of relationships, not just the romantic ones we might think of when say "in a relationship."
Humans are relational beings; except for the rare examples of someone trotting off to live in complete solitude, most of us spend a lot of time and energy trying to fit in, find belonging, and maintain our communities.
Living together, within a family or within a society and culture, is necessary but not always easy. We face the fears and anxieties of personal differences, generalized prejudices, the weight of dreams and expectations, and we sometimes have to do it seemingly alone.
In 400-450 words, identify some of the specific issues addressed in this poems. What are the issues and how the poems tackle them? Think also about why it might be useful to write or read poetry on these issues. As always, make sure use quotes to substantiate your analysis.
