In 2004 a 59-year-old woman about to give birth in december

In 2004, a 59-year-old woman, about to give birth in December, set the record for age when pregnant.

a. If age of all mothers at the time of delivery has a mean of 27 and a standard deviation of 6, tell how many standard deviations above average this woman's age is.

b. Explain why the distribution of ages at time of delivery cannot be normal.

c. If we incorrectly applied the 68-95-99.7 Rule, it would tell us that half of 100% minus 99.7%, or 0.15%, of mothers are less than 9 years old at the time of delivery. Is the actual percentage higher or lower than this?
