Find an article from the media (internet, newspapers, magazines, etc.) on a current event that addresses an economic concept that we have discussed in this course. Write a one page report in MS Word showing: 1) summary of the article; 2) your own analysis and opinions. You may use graphical analysis to analyze the issues presented in the current event (possible graphs: Supply and demand, price control, shortage, surplus, etc.). Also, be sure to cite all sources you use.
These are the topics we have leaned in the course :
– the importance on international trade, and show how international trade benefits economies.
– fiscal policies and how they are decided and enacted by the government.
– monetary policies and how they are decided and enacted by the Federal Reserve Bank.
– the function of money and the Federal Reserve Bank.
– integrate the concepts of GDP, unemployment, and inflation with the aggregate demand and aggregate supply model.
