You are conducting a series of training exercises for the docents to better prepare them for visitors' questions during upcoming festival. You want to ensure that they understand the importance of the geographical location of Byzantium in relation to rise of Islam, Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy.
Select one architectural design from each of these three religions (Islam, Catholicism & Eastern Orthodoxy; between 300-725 C.E.).
Describe the major architectural characteristics of each design and discuss how the three works of architecture are related to one another structurally. Discuss the transmission and interpretation of Roman architectural design elements from Roman architecture, to Byzantine architecture, to Islamic architecture. Explain why you feel that the three structures that you chose to discuss were important to the development of the architectural traditions of each of their associated religions.
