This assignment will assess competency 1. Evaluate how expectations can have a powerful effect on student performance, retention, and persistence. Directions: Write a 1500 word research paper titled The Importance of a Clear Roadmap and High Student Expectations. Provide your analysis of this topic. In addition to your analysis, please include an answer for the following questions:
1. Why is setting high expectations for the college
2. How can administrators and faculty encourage college students to work harder in their studies?
3. How do institutions and school advisors set and communicate high student expectations to the students?
4. What programs should institutions put in place to help students understand their expectations?
5. Do students really seek out colleges that havehigh graduation rates?
You must provide a separate/different reference in your answer to each question. One reference must be from the Survey of Best Practices in Student Retention 2015 Edition.
Your paper must be written in APA Style. Your paper should include an introduction, with a well-defined thesis statement, body of the paper, and solid conclusion that aligns with the thesis.
Although titles help the writer and the reader with paper organization, do not name your sections INTRODUCTION, BODY OF THE PAPER, OR CONCLUSION.
