Assignment:
Think of social disorganization theory and its implications (you may need to go back and read this part of the chapter again). Write a 2 to 3 page reflection describing policies and programs that you think could be implemented in inner-city communities today to reduce crime, violence, and disorder. Also, please address how you would measure the effectiveness of these strategies. In other words, how would you know these ideas work? These policies and programs must be consistent with the premises of social disorganization theory. Hint: Think about the "Chicago Area Project" and then do some research on your own.
