The implementation approach is the process of turning strategies into actions in order to accomplish strategic objectives and goals set out y a planning body. This is very important in the strategic planning process some say it is even more important than the plan itself. With this said the critical actions move from the planning stage to the actual use of these plans to achieve the goals set out in the strategic plan and as such it is most integral part of the process.
For the scenario in question I do not think moving to an implementation phase of a strategic plan without informing and involving all members of the team in the approach that will be taken is a recipe for disaster. It is essential for all the major players to be aware of any changes, improvement, and removal of pre-existing and overall any shifts in the way things are done within the organization.
Communication of the tasks, any changes are areas of focus that would be highlighted in any plan for the assisted living facilities. The officer/ agent responsible for admitting patients will need to be fully aware of all that is happening in the institution so he or she will be able to advise, educate and inform any lower level staff and most importantly the patients and their relatives who will access the facilities. An inclusion of a shared vision and mission statement is also an area I would have all staff look into so that everyone is on the same wavelength, understanding of what the companies aims and expectations are. Everyone must be in the know.
Having everyone aware of the vision and mission of the assisted living facility will ensure support of the plans and the implementation strategies. Awareness will build knowledge and support. When strategic plans are implemented it may cause changes in the way a product or service is delivered and as such all team members should be fully aware thereby enhancing the quality of service and the way they interact with management and all the clients and the families that access the institution.
