Problem: Could you give me a reply to this discussion post and ask questions about it? i think the one that took me by surprise the most was all of the back story to the Patriot Act, Considering most of this has happened within the last several years, it's easy to make comparisons to today's happenings. I watched in shock as the planes hit the towers, my aunt and uncle were in the Pentagon when the plane hit, 9/11 personally impacted my family. So, The Patriot Act was something that I looked into as a voter, I took it into consideration personally as to what it meant for the future of my children. I can honestly say that I had no idea there was such an intense opposition to it. I feel like it did a lot of good, and while good intentions can bring harm unintentionally, I can't quite decide if it did what it intended to do. Since 9/11 we have had several instances of homeland terrorism that hasn't been stopped, but that we gathered intelligence on. So I guess my main question is did we sell our privacy in the name of terror? Have we really gained any ground? Need Assignment Help?
