Most workplaces have an ethical code or policy in effect. There is likely some expectation in your workplace about how you are supposed to act and compose yourself. Such codes are commonplace for IT professionals, but while you might have followed these ‘rules', did they have any effect on your personal behaviour? Did these codes truly influence your own ethics?
For this Discussion, consider whether a code of ethics, professional organisations, certifications and/or licensing affects the ethical behaviour of IT professionals.
