This document gives some very basic tips for describing the relationship between two variables, You can use the tips in the stage 3 assignment, just be sure to mention any possible issues with your analysis
If you are analysing the relationship between 2 variables there are 3 possible cases.
Case 1: If you want to the relationship between two categorical variables compare the proportions of the different groups.
Case 2: If you want to find the relationship between a categorical and numerical variable you can compare measures of center and spread for each of the group.
Case 3: If you want to find the relationship between two numerical variable you can produce a scatter-plot describe any patterns (page 2 has some examples of patterns).
