If the tanker truck discharges into the top of the tank

Gasoline vapors are vented to the atmosphere when an underground gasoline storage tank is filled. If the tanker truck discharges into the top of the tank with no vapor control, the emission of gasoline vapors is estimated to be 2.75k*m^-3 of gas delivered to the tank. If the tank is equipped with a pressure relief valve and interlocking hose and the truck discharges to the bottom of the tank below surface of gasoline in the tank, the emission of gas vapors is 0.095 kg*m^-3. Assume tank must be refilled with 4 m^3 of gas per week. Estimate the annual loss of gasoline (kg/yr) for the splash fill method. Estimate the value of the fuel that is captured if the vapor control system is used. Assume the density of condensed vapor is 0.800 g*mL^-1 and cost of gas is 1.06 per liter
