Problem
An automobile crankshaft is 3.175 cm in diameter. A bearing on the shaft is 3.183 cm in diameter and 2.8 cm long. The bearing is lubricated with SAE 30 oil at a temperature of 365 K.

Assuming that the shaft is centrally located in the bearing, determine how much heat must be removed to maintain the bearing at constant temperature. The shaft is rotating at 1700 rpm, and the viscosity of the oil is 0.01 Pa s.
